Good Friday Walk For Life

The Ventura County Good Friday Walk for Life is from Sacred Heart Parish to Planned Parenthood.  It begins at 8:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Parish.  Please join this important public act of penance and devotion.

Lenten Regulations

Abstinence from meat is observed on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all the Fridays of Lent by all who are 14 years of age and older.

Fasting is observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday by persons aged 18-58. Fasting consists of one full meal in the day.  If required to maintain strength, two smaller meals are also permitted.  Between meals, solid foods are not permitted when fasting.  Where possible, fasting is also observed on Holy Saturday.
